Hermes
Hermes was the son of Zues and Maria. He was one of the youngest among the Olympic gods. From the moment Hermes was born he was a very talented athlete. When Hermes was little he constructed a lyre. Another day he stole some cattle. When he got in trouble for stealing the cattle he apologized by giving the god of music, (Apollo) the lyre in forgiveness. He was indeed forgiven. Zues, his father was impressed by Hermes and his talent as he grew a bit older. Therefore he allowed Hermes to be the one who took people to the underworld, after the died. He was one pf the few allowed to pass in and out of the underworld. Hermes was the messenger god who delivered information and memos between the gods for Zues. Zues gave Hermes a pair of shoes and a helmet that had wings on them. They were used to help Hermes when he delivered messages. Hermes also received a staff he took in his travels. Later two snakes were added to the staff when Hermes defeated them on the road. Hermes gave protection to those on the roads and was a well respected god.
